Christ's Incarnation

Study Length: 4 weeks

Note: This course was originally published for study during Advent 2021. Now, this essential exploration of Christ’s birth and its meaning is available for year-round use.

What does Christ’s incarnation mean to you?

Do thoughts of Christ’s birth fill your mind only as the countdown begins to the appointed holiday? Too often, we lose sight of the true wonder of God made flesh during seasonal activities, anxieties, and anticipation. Yet, the Bible’s beacon perpetually draws our attention to the light of Jesus Christ Himself—our everlasting hope, faith, joy and peace.

Today is the day to honor and rejoice in the birth of our Savior and King, Jesus Christ. This four-week study invites us to dwell in God’s Word and consider the reality of Christ’s incarnation. We’ll trace the Bible’s story that marks fulfillment of God’s promises made long ago. We’ll echo the “Amen!” of the star-struck night when humanity’s eternally promised One was Born to Dwell among us.

In Born to Dwell, examine different aspects of selected passages from the Old Testament and the Gospels of Matthew, Luke and John. Through God’s trustworthy, authoritative message, we receive and rejoice in His greatest gift – the Word made flesh to dwell among us. All who believe may be re-born to dwell with God now and forever.

God the Father sent His Son to enter the world as a helpless baby—fully human, fully God. He lived a perfect life and died a sacrificial death. Now resurrected, He dwells glorified in heaven. By Christ’s work of salvation, the Holy Spirit dwells within those who abide in Jesus. The Messiah came to save His people from their sins. He will come again to rule and reign.

Let this become our daily rhythm:  to pause, slow down, worship Jesus with wonder, and cherish Him by faith.

Will the glorious reality of Christ’s incarnation fill your heart through His message of life?
